Look at living yeast under a microscope.
Reenact the life of a pioneer family: Calculate how much wheat to grow, plant your own grain "patch", mill flour, bake bread, churn butter, and and a delicious feast!
Christmas Crafts

We will be making and decorating beeswax candles and ceramic ornaments.
We will also sing Christmas Carols.
Snacks are provided.
A Sense of Wonder is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to providing nature and arts programs to elementary school age students in the Monterey County area. Our programs are meant to stimulate a student's interest in science and the arts by complimenting and enhancing material typically covered in the classroom. Our programs are age appropriate and based on educational standards. Activities and hands-on projects are an integral part of our programs. Most of all, our programs are meant to be fun and offer an experience your child will remember forever!
Teachers are Cynthia Lorence and Debbie Baldridge. Cynthia is a professional naturalist with 16 years experience and an advanced degree in Biology. Debbie has had 13 years of experience as a high school art teacher and an advanced degree in Art. Both have been teaching in the Monterey County area for nine years.
